SITTINGBOURNE 0 GOSPORT BOROUGH 1

TWO teams who scored ten goals between them in league matches the previous Saturday managed only one between them in a closely-fought FA Cup-tie.
That was a penalty, given for a push by the home team’s Lewis Chambers and converted by Gosport’s Ryan Pennery.
Defences were generally on top, with Gosport doing especially well to block firsthalf efforts by Bola Dawodu and Chambers.
Gosport worked hard to keep their lead and might have added to their score but for a couple of fine saves by Pat Lee.
