RYAN CARR scored the only goal of the game on the brink of half-time as North Shields battled to a hardearned 1-0 victory at home to Shildon.
The visitors started well, with Jamie Harwood’s header hitting the crossbar from Keith Graydon’s sixth-minute corner.
Just six minutes later, Gary Ormston’s header was cleared off the line at the other end.
