WEISS RESCUE ACT ENOUGH FOR KINGS

THIS was a pulsating tie played in continuous rain, where both sides seemed to make light of the conditions.
Kings had Lewes under pressure for the first 20 minutes, Mitchell Weiss going close.
But the Rooks hit back for James Hammond to hit the bar and when Kings lost possession, Dan Darbyshire hit the woodwork again for Jonte Smith to convert the rebound.
Kings got the reward when Steve Ward’s shot was parried by the keeper, and Weiss blasted the ball into the net.
