SUPER-sub Ramiez Howarth climbed off the bench to fire Ashton United into the next round.
Howarth unleashed a stunning strike into the back of Alex Street’s net to settle a tight affair at The Walks.
The Linnets enjoyed the better of the first half and did everything but find the back of the net.
Defender Rory McAuley twice went close with headers, one from a Michael Clunan corner and another from a freekick.
