GOALS from Thierry Audel and Brendan Kiernan saw Welling progress as new Hereford coach Marc Richards saw his side lose for the eighth time in 11 outings.
Welling took the lead with a thundering header from centreback Audel from Jack Jebb’s free-kick on 28 minutes and the goal was triply costly for Hereford as goalkeeper Martin Horsell had to be carried off and midfielder Mike McGrath helped off with a head injury.
