GATE ARE SHUT OUT AS HAWKS HOLD ON

MARGATE and Harlow played out a goalless draw as drab as the Hartsdown Park weather.
The match failed to ignite the crowd and clear-cut opportunities were few and far between.
The best chance of the first half arrived on 25 minutes. A great cross by right-back Jack Paxman found Joe Taylor but his firm header found the arms of Hawks goalkeeper Josh Bexon.
But neither keeper was further troubled as half wore on…and on.
Margate enjoyed longer spells of possession in the second half and looked the more likely to take the lead.
