A REFEREEING controversy took centre-stage as Nantwich Town and Workington AFC played to a scoreless draw.
While both sides had plenty of chances, none were clearer than when, in the 56th minute, Callum Saunders was hauled down. The referee rejected all protests despite shouts of anger.
Saunders and Joel Stair both had chances cleared off the line after 21 minutes following Louis Barnes’ free-kick.
Conor Tinnion dinked the ball over the defence just after the hour mark, though it was a tad too far for Jason Walker to reach.
