MARCUS BOWERS proved the thorn in Witham’s side as Rovers prevailed.
The home side opened the scoring on five minutes through Billy Johnson following Bowers’ acrobatic kick.
Witham nearly levelled through a Liam Whipps free kick, falling to Danny Norton whose shot went just wide.
But Wakering scored their second on 38 minutes when Bowers’ shot across the Witham goal found the net.
