GILLIES IS LATE HERO AS SHIELDS FIGHT BACK

IT WAS a seventh consecutive home win for South Shields as they came from behind.
Goals from defender Dillon Morse and midfield pair Rob Briggs and Josh Gillies were enough.
However the visitors enjoyed the better of the opening encounters and took the lead when Nathan Jarman robbed the ball. He teed-up up Evan Garnett whose curling effort from 25- yards went in.
Shields equalised on the half hour against the run of play as Morse rose highest to head Nathan Lowe’s corner into the top corner.
