Rovers prevail in five-goal thriller

GREAT Wakering Rovers took the spoils from a five-goal thriller against Heybridge.
The game started at a great pace and was end to end through out the first half. Rovers opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Shomari Barnwell was fouled in the box and Jake Gordon stepped up and put the penalty away.
Swifts grabbed an equaliser only six minutes later through Odei Martin-Sorondo. Rovers retook the league when Billy Johnson got to the back post and headed in from close range and this see’s Rovers leading in to half time.
