CHESTER have axed their new general manager after just ONE DAY in the role.
Stephen Jones was unveiled last week at a City Fans United meeting and began his new job of overseeing the day-to-day running of the club on Monday.
But only 24 hours later the 60-year-old was shown the door after the Blues were made aware of historical issues with his employment history relating to the mortgage industry.
