JACK Ball’s penalty handed Paulton Rovers a deserved victory over Yate Town.
Rovers bagged the only goal of the game in the eighth minute after Josh Ford pushed Ball, who dusted himself down to place the spot-kick past Lewis Thomas.
Six minutes later, Ford hauled back Ball and received a second yellow card.
Paulton’s Ryan Gay turned and brought a save from Thomas while Yate started the second half on fire as, first, Sam Kamara tested Rob Brown, who was then on hand to save from George King.
