A JACK Holland goal four minutes before half time was enough to secure victory for Bromley and ensure they moved six points clear of the relegation zone.
Centre-back Holland pounced at the far post to score after a short freekick routine found Richard Brindley in acres of space on the right and his inchperfect cross was turned home.
Maidenhead goalkeeper Carl Pentney then had to be alert to keep out a spectacular volley from Luke Coulson, which would have made it 2-0, but Bromley just about held on to claim the points in the battle of two teams scratching for form.
