LEE Chilton scored the winner on his debut as Alvechurch extended their unbeaten run to four games.
Chilton was making his second debut for Alvechurch having secured a return to Lye Meadow from Sporting Khalsa.
He has scored 17 goals this season and made a quick start, getting on the end of an Andre Landell cross to give the visitors the lead within the first ten minutes.
Royston responded with Vance Bola firing over and also being denied by Matthew Sargeant.
