Western’s best is sadly laid to rest

IT is with deep regret that we report the passing of the former Western League chairman, Mr Rod Webber.
Rod sadly passed away on Sunday, December 30 after a short spell in hospital. He was a past vice-chairman and chairman of Exmouth Town FC, joining the club in 1976.
In 1988, following his resignation from Exmouth Town, Rod was invited by the then chairman of the Western League, Stan Priddle, to become his vice-chairman on the board.
Stan and Rod worked well together and Rod always said that he was proud to serve the league.
