CHESHUNT FCmade it seven games without defeat as they ground out a 1-0 victory over Ashford Town and consolidated their third-place position.
Jason Hallett’s third goal in two games 13 minutes into the second half proved to be the difference between the two sides.
After a quiet first half, Cheshunt started the second period brightly and came inches away from taking the lead, as Hallett saw his header scrambled off the line.
However, he wasn’t to be denied his goal as he swept home following terrific work from Yvan Jourdan down the right.
