THIS scoreless draw did little for either side.
Matlock shaded the game and perhaps should have won but as far as scoreless draws go, this was definitely one of the better ones.
Matlock enjoyed most of the early play, Jamie Jackson nodding a Marcus Marshall cross to the near post too high.
Luke Hinsley, though, should have put Matlock ahead on 14 minutes, Greg Tempest’s inch-perfect through pass putting him clear but he could only shoot tamely.
