FA SET TO STEP IN OPER BRAWL

THE FA is to be asked to investigate an alleged assault involving club officials of AFC Blackpool and Longridge Town after their Hallmark Security North West Counties Division One North 1-1 draw last Saturday.
On the AFC Blackpool website, the hosts’ manager Martin Baird stated: “It is hugely disappointing to see the chairman of Longridge Town FC, Kevin Harrison, physically assaulting our assistant manager in an unprovoked attack, especially with Longridge Town FC promoting themselves as a community football club.
