DARLINGTON and Southport played out a tedious clash almost devoid of entertainment, with the only talking point being the serious injury to Quakers’ Sam Muggleton.
He left Blackwell Meadows in an ambulance after a lengthy stoppage at the end of the first half.
The left-back had collided with Southport’s Marcus Wood and suffered a knee injury, bringing an end to his afternoon and his time with Darlington having joined a week ago on loan from Chesterfield.
Dion Charles was offtarget early on with a couple of early chances for the visitors...
