BRAKES gave themselves a mountain to climb as they effectively lost this game inside the opening seven minutes, handing victory to Blyth.
Inside the opening 60 seconds the Leamington defence backed off, allowing Kieran Green to crash a wonderful effort into the net from distance.
Jordan Murphy cut in from the right and forced a good save from Peter Jameson, but Blyth delighted their noisy travelling support by forging further ahead on seven minutes, Daniel Maguire curling a low drive beyond a static Tony Breeden.
