Northern League Steps up a notch

NORTHERN League chairman Glenn Youngman is set to submit a robust application to The FA for a new Step 4 division.
The National League System intends to run with eight divisions at Step 4 for the 2020-21 season.
The FA asked leagues to lodge an “expression of interest” with them by March 1 and the Northern League has.
Youngman said: “We believe we will be able to run a well-managed, competitive league at Step 4.
“We will be submitting a strong, robust application to be considered by the governing body.”
