BEN Wright’s penalty and Harry Pearse’s smart finish gave Basingstoke three points.
An early mistake from the away side saw- Daniel Williams handle the ball from a Sam Smart cross.
Wright stood up and tucked the penalty into the bottom-right corner.
Then Sam Argent had a huge chance as he got in front of the defender but forced Martin Horsell into a good save, his rebound was blocked on the line.
Basingstoke’s Sam Deadfield also had a golden opportunity but couldn’t convert.
