CONNAH’S QUAY NOMADS are back on top of the JD Welsh Premier League – for the time being at least – after a 2-0 victory over Newtown.
Captain Georg e Horan put the Nomads ahead and the points were finally sealed by Michael Bakare’s sweet strike.
The Nomads now tur n their attention towards Saturday’s IRN-BRU Scottish Challeng e Cup final with Ross County in Inverness.
Elsewhere Bala Town had a 2-0 triumph over Barry Town United at Jenner Park.
