TWO sides who needed a win for different reasons ended up sharing the points as Basingstoke and Met Police couldn’t be separated on the scoresheet.
A quick start saw Jack Mazzone drag a shot just wide after 30 seconds and visiting keeper Berti Schotteri came out to block Ben Wright’s low volley.
The title chasing away side got the breakthrough after 12 minutes with a stroke of luck.
