NOMADS DREAMS DASHED BY ROSS

CONNAH’S QUAY NOMADS had their hearts broken in the IRN-BRU Scottish Challenge Cup Final as they were beaten 3-1 by Ross County at Inverness’ Caledonian Stadium.
Michael Bakare put the Nomads ahead after 21 minutes but, after riding their luck while leading for the best par t of an hour, the Scottish Championship leaders hit back in the second half with Josh Mullin’s brace and Jamie Lindsay’s late third seeing the Staggies lift the trophy for a third time.
