GAINSBOROUGHTrinity secured a hard-fought victory over a tigerish Hyde side to move back into the playoff spots with four games to play. A fine strike from Alex Byrne just before the half hour mark saw Trinity home.
Chib Chilaka had the best opening for the visitors, his effort bravely saved by the legs of Joe Green after a threaded ball by Janni Lipka. A crucial intervention by Byrne, doing the defensive work after the Trinity defence was split open, saw Byrne rob Tom Pratt as the Hyde man looked to pull the trigger.
