Hearn’s heroics as Liam hits four

BASFORD finished the season by coming out on top in a goal fest, spurred on by Liam Hearn’s first-half fourgoal salvo.
They were ahead within the first minute, Nat Watson heading in.
It was 2-0 after 14 minutes when Nantwich keeper James Hawkins allowed Hearn’s low shot to slip through his hands into the net. Callum Saunders reduced the arrears on 19 minutes, turning in Matt Bell’s pass.
Hearn notched his second goal of the day on 25 minutes, taking a pass from Thornhill before turning and firing past Hawkins.
