IT WAS a special day for Lowestoft Town’s Adam Smith as he made his 407th and final appearance.
And he finished as he had started by helping the Trawlerboys keep a clean sheet in victory.
Lowestoft took a 16th minute lead when Jake Reed’s trickery and Jack Wilkinson’s accuracy presented Shaun Bammant with simple tap in.
In the 83rd minute two exquisite passes saw Adam Tann find Reed and on to Henry Pollock to score.
Smith was substituted three minutes from time to a standing ovation.
