BACKin mid-April Weymouth’s future trajectory looked all but secure. A run of seven wins in eight had seen the Terras open up a seemingly unassailable gap at the top of the Southern Premier League South.
But fast forward just a few weeks and things had become rather more perilous.
A defeat at Beaconsfield and stuttering draws against Chesham and Poole threatened to dramatically de-rail Weymouth’s campaign and left the Terras leading Taunton by just a single point going into the season’s final day....
