Duo agree deal to takeover crisis club

The future of Gateshead has been secured after a consortium led by two supporters completed a takeover of the crisis club.
Former directors Neil Pinkerton and Trevor Clark have joined forces to agree a deal with current owner Dr Ranjan Varghese and paperwork has now been completed and exchanged between the legal teams.
The deal will still need to be ratified by the National League and the Football Association, but it will bring clarity to a turbulent period in the club’s history.
