OLD DAYS: Mark Goldberg during his time as manager of Bromley

IN THIS day and age managers can rarely rest easily, with the threat of the axe never more than a few defeats away.
However, new Welling boss Mark Goldberg has found himself in a rather unique position.
This week the Wings chairman took the unusual step of appointing himself as manager following the departure of Steve King and the former Bromley boss admits that returning to the dugout after three years away was something he never expected to happen.
