SHAMED KEEPER IS JAILED FOR REF ATTACK

GOALKEEPER Aaron Wick is beginning a 20- month jail sentence after hitting a referee so hard that one of his eye sockets was broken.
Wick had just failed to save a penalty for Horsford United’s second team, who were trailing 3-0 after 35 minutes of their Central and South Norfolk League game against Feltwell on September 22 last year, when he was about to be booked for foul language by match official Karl Smith.
The player walked up to Mr Smith and hit him so hard that he lost consciousness for 20 minutes.
