IT MAY have only been the first day of pre-season action but both Nuneaton Borough and Notts County went some way to washing the relegation blues out of their system yesterday.
In front of more than 300 fans at Liberty Way, the Boro and the Magpies put on a free-fl owing 90 minutes of football, one that neither side really deserved to lose.
But lose it Nuneaton did, due to a stunning strike from Mitch Rose midway through the second half and a second finish from Kristian Dennis.
