REVAMPED: The Kop

PLANS for a new 5,000- seat stand to replace Wrexham’s famous Kop end terrace have been unveiled as part of a major scheme to transform the area.
The project has been commissioned by Wrexham Council through funding from the Welsh Government to regenerate Mold Road, the main gateway into Wrexham.
The development could also include a new transport hub at Wrexham General Railway Station, a conference venue below the new stadium seating and a four-star hotel nearby.
