SOUTH Shields came from behind to beat Cleethorpes Town to lift the Jak Fada Memorial Trophy.
Shields beat the Owls 4-0 in the 2017 FA Vase final at Wembley but this was a much more low-key affair. Graham Fenton and Lee Picton’s men had lost 2-0 at home to Sunderland in front of a sell-out crowd in midweek.
Here, a healthy attendance of 766 turned up at Mariners Park - but they were soon stunned when Cleethorpes took the lead after just 25 seconds.
Lewis Collins curled a 20-yard shot into the top corner, Jon Shaw putting a header wide in response.
