JON PARKIN has announced his retirement following a 21-year career in football – after losing his pace!
The 37-year-old striker nicknamed ‘The Beast’ played for 14 different clubs in both the Football League and Non-League.
Parkin scored more than 200 goals in 600 games at the likes of Hull City, Stoke City, Preston, Macclesfield, Fleetwood, Newport County, Cardiff City and York City, where he ended his career.
