REJUVENATED Margate top the Isthmian League bill ahead of the new season, but it won’t be an easy ride.
Former Maidstone United boss Jay Saunders has committed to the Gate, the club he made almost 400 appearances for, after taking over on a temporary basis in February. Saunders won three promotions in seven years with the Stones and moved Margate away from relegation danger – now he’s tipped to take them back to Step 2 having assembled a squad of his own.
