MITFORD LEAVES IT LATE FOR EAGLES

BEDFORD Town left it very late in the day to secure a 2-1 win over Thame United in their season opener at the Bright Management Eyrie.
Never a classic, Bedford took the lead on 28 minutes, as Dan Walker ran on to a perfect Ebby Nelson- Addy pass to stroke the ball past the advancing Craig Hill.
Ten minutes later, Thame equalised as Duran Martin reacted fastest to a cross from the left to put a powerful header past Aaron Dillon.
