A BLISTERING ten-minute spell saw South Shields score four goals goals as the hosts consigned Bamber Bridge to a third away defeat.
South Shields were looking to end a two-game goalless run while Bamber Bridge were looking for their first away points.
Shields broke the deadlock right just before the half-hour mark.
Brig failed to clear a dangerous corner and Gary Brown’s drive was deflected into the goal.
The Mariners doubled their lead when Adam Thurston drove home.
