Shields bow out

FORMER FA Vase winners North shields exited at the first stage once again after defeat at Ryhope CW in an all Northern League affair.
An early own goal from Gary Ormston put Ryhope in front before a fine solo effort from Jon Weirs at the start of the second period wrapped it up.
The visitors struggled all day and couldn’t break down a determined Ryhope outfit.
North Shields were slow to start and paid the price when Ormston turned a Robbie Bird cross past his own keeper.
