MORPETH Town won their second FA Cup tie in a week at Craik Park.
A 3-1 win over Hyde United was arguably the most routine the Highwaymen have enjoyed this season, with a 3-0 advantage by the hour mark courtesy of Liam Henderson’s 13th minute effort, Kris Thackray’s header and Sean Taylor’s far post effort.
The opener was a bizarre one in truth as the ball was laid inside by the visiting defence and far too short for keeper Luke Mewitt.
With the keeper exposed, Henderson was able to latch on to it and slot home.
