Hitchin frustrate leaders Banbury

BANBURY were sitting at the top of the table prior to kick-off but failed to beat a winless Hitchin.
Hitchin’s first chance came on 34 minutes when Joshua Bickerstaff’s headed wide. Just before halftime Cayola Villarroel had a chance but fired well over the Canaries’ goal. In the second half, Banbury was first in the action when Pablo Haysham’s shot was saved at the foot of the post by Charles Horlock.
Banbury’s Claudio Dias then shot but was not on target.
