TWO first half goals in the space of four minutes were enough to see the Scholars through to the next round.
A largely cagey first half exploded into life in the 35th minute when Bar centre-half James Budden drove at the Hornchurch defence before blasting his shot past Urchins stopper Joe Wright.
Four minutes later and top scorer Josh Hutchinson headed past the visiting keeper from a searching Thomas Gogo cross to double the lead and sent Potters Bar in to half time 2-0 up.
