RUNCORN TOWN 1 FARSLEY CELTIC 3

■ RUNCORN Town gave their best in a tough game but it was the Vanarama North side who prevailed in this decent cup tie courtesy of a brace from Nathan Cartman and a goal from Tyler Walton.
The contest was fairly even for the first 25 minutes but the deadlock was when a shot by David Syers was well saved by Marcus Burgess only for Cartman to be on hand to turn in the rebound.
In the second half both sides started well but Farsley created the better openings with half-chances for Cartman and James Spencer.
