Player eligibility rules causing confusion

A LEADING official wants rules governing moves by players between countries to be simplified to relieve pressure on volunteer administrators.
Paul Lawler, chairman of the North West Counties League, is concerned his member clubs are more vulnerable to being caught out than rivals playing in other competitions at step five in the National League System. “I don’t think the regulations are fit for purpose,” he said.
