CAPTAIN fantastic Brad Carroll scored to help league leaders Workington continue their impressive start to the Northern North West Division by beating Widnes 2-0 at Borough Park.
Carroll’s strike had given the hosts the lead in the 30th minute after he capitalised on some suspect Widnes defending, before a second-half own goal from goalkeeper Owen Wheeler extended the hosts’ lead.
