THIS was a major, morale-boosting victory for Merthyr who had lost their last three games by the odd goal.
The home side were on top early on with Wimborne struggling to get into the Merthyr half.
The opening goal arrived after only three minutes, Jarrad Wright finding himself unmarked at the far post and heading in Ben Swallow’s corner from just five yards.
