INJURY-HIT Lancaster City maintained their unbeaten home record with a hard-fought victory over third-placed Matlock Town.
The decisive goal came after 18 minutes when Paul Dawson made a strong run towards the area and with defenders backing off, steadied himself before firing a powerful strike past Jon Stewart.
Matlock had a great chance to draw level when Sam Scrivens found himself clear despite looking offside but could not direct the ball past Sam Ashton, who blocked.
