A DOUBLE salvo in the opening 16 minutes paved the way for Oxford City to beat Margate.
First, Josh Ashby’s 11th-minute free-kick fell kindly for Nana Owusu, the winger sweeping home from close range.
Five minutes later, incisive passing set Ben Jefford free down the left wing, the defender producing a low cross which was met by Kyran Wiltshire’s emphatic finish.
The Hoops could have added a third in the 19th minute, Wiltshire this time providing a cross which Jack Self could only divert onto the crossbar.
