COLNE came out on top in a close-fought FA Trophy tie thanks to two late goals.
After a cagey first half-hour the game sprang to life on 33 minutes when Lee Pugh followed up to blast home a half-clearance through a crowded Buxton goalmouth to give Colne the lead.
Buxton struck back in first-half injury time when Jude Oyibo’s scintillating run set up Diego De Girolamo to round Reds keeper Hakan Burton and score from the tightest of angles to level the scores.
